‘ANGEL’ 024 is the latest in a series of angel subjects created over a number of years.
Each angel has a different and unique character and this angel is a particularly elegant version with long legs to suggest that it is rising upwards.
The angel as a subject is naturally suited to the medium of transparent mesh because of the spiritual quality the material itself, especially when the sculpture is suspended using transparent fishing line from the ceiling.
Simple strategic lighting creates a dynamic interplay between the three-dimensional artwork and its evocative two-dimensional shadow easily created with one single spotlight (see image attached). The sculpture can be floating or wall-mounted.
