'UMBRELLA' 2025
I was pleased to be invited to contribute to to a Neurodiversity Garden by garden designer Katy Terry / Good Grounding which is presented by the ADHD Foundation Neurodiversity Charity at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2025, before the garden will move to its permanent location at The University of Liverpool.
This project is sponsored by Project Giving Back, which supports gardens for good causes at the RHS Chelsea.

Katy Terry was awarded a Silver Guilt Medal as her first entrance at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show - a well-deserved fantastic medal! These umbrellas symbolise inclusivity, offering a delicate sense of comfort and protection. They also reflect the emblem of the "Neurodiversity Umbrella Project".

The umbrellas are very special! And look best in the morning when the light is coming from behind and casting dappled light through the leaves onto them! Just magical!

Katy Terry's garden design with the prototype of the umbrella sculpture will be exhibited at the Garden Museum, London, 12 - 18th September 2025 - free entrance.

After the Chelsea Flower Show in London, Katy Terry's garden has its permanent location at the Yoko Ono Lennon Centre at the University of Liverpool which opened to the public in March 2022 – located at the roof garden of the Foundation Building Brownlow Hill, Liverpool, University of Liverpool.
